New Coliseum, Whitley Bay
Opened as a theatre in 1910, later converted to a cinema which operated until 1971. It was a Bingo Club when this photo was taken.

Former Theatre, Whitley Bay
The Whitley Street frontage of the former New Coliseum theatre.http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/38551 suggests that the building dates from 1910 and has had a life as theatre, cinema and bingo hall and that in the 21st Century the auditorium behind the frontage was demolished to make way for a new building.
