The pub ahead is the Rockcliffe Arms, which is an excellent unspoilt pub with a range of Yorkshire beers. Highly recommended. This is viewed from Whitley Road.

Grade 2 listed telephone box, near Whitley Bay Metro Station
Unusually, there is a postbox incorporated into the rear of the box. Only about 50 of these boxes were ever made and fewer than half a dozen survive in use.
