North Blyth, Base of North Side Staithes
These coal staithes were immortalised in the film Get Carter starring Michael Caine (1971). Towards the end of the film he chases two men along the wooden walkway carrying a double barrelled shotgun with serious intent to kill them both. Needless to say he achieves his goal ---- after all he is Michael Caine sorry Jack Carter.
