Looking east from Shibdon Bank
This bank runs south from Blaydon up to Winlaton. Good views from near the top make the long climb worthwhile. Here, the Sheriff Hill area of Gateshead can be seen.

This long steep bank runs south from Blaydon up to Winlaton. Fine views are to be had from the top, in this case across the River Tyne to the Lemington area of Newcastle.

Canada Geese at Shibdon Pond
Local nature reserve at Blaydon. A flock of several dozen feral Canada Geese are resident here. As can be seen here, they crop the surrounding grassland, but also except handouts from the visitors.
