Sandyford Cottages farm buildings and garden walls
These date to other 19th century - roughly midway during the Agricultural Revolution. In the many changes of this period specific buildings were developed - sometimes as a model farm - for specific equipment or animals. The arrangement of the byre (at ground floor level) and a granary (at first floor level) is typical of this considered approach to agriculture. Accommodation to the workers was provided in a pair of identical cottages which ended the range of the agricultural buildings. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
