St Oswald's Way, Little Bavington
St Oswald's Way http://www.stoswaldsway.com/home.html is a 156 Km long trail which runs from Heavenfield near Hexham to Holy Island on the Northumberland coast (although more commonly walked in the opposite direction). Here the Way drops down from Little Bavington village to cross Hallington Burn. The free face of Divethill Quarry Image can be seen on the skyline to the left.

Nuts Well, Little Bavington
Just below the road (B6342) on its north side.
The well is described in the OS Name Book for Thockrington parish (c1860) as: "an excellent Spring of Water which forms the principal supply for the Cottagers of
Little Bavington".
