Garden House above Close House
In 1901, the house was occupied by the Scottish, 27 year old Head Gardener at Close House, William Rome (or Bone), his wife Susan, and their daughter Florence. They also had a boarder, 22 year old William Alexander, shown on the census as a gardener. The house is no longer part of the estate and has been recently extended.
