Former Vicarage, Hexham Road, Heddon on the Wall
The former vicarage (now a private house) is the left, behind the wall. The modern extension to its right was built by Tim Swann (Cabinetmaker to Her Majesty the Queen) in 1962 to incorporate his furniture workshop, to a design by his friend, the notable Scottish architect, Peter Womersley.

Hexham Road, Heddon on the Wall
The cottage on the left has a date stone above the door in Roman numerals which translates to 1829. The house at right angles which backs on to the Welfare Field (park) was a former butchers shop and later village Post Office. It probably dates from the same year.
