The Law Courts, Newcastle Quayside
Newcastle's Quayside Law Courts were built 1986-90 by Napper Collerton using red sandstone from Dumfriesshire. Tall columns support a balcony. A striking building, although the top windows always remind me of a piano. The rear of the building with its nautical port-holes is shown here Image

Newcastle Law Courts, Quayside
Showing the rear of the building from Broad Chare with its nautical-style portholes. Built 1984-90 by the Napper Collerton Partnership comprising ten Crown and three County Courts. The building design is said to be Post Modern Classical and used red sandstone from Dumfriesshire.
