New Housing off Front Street, Dinnington
No sign of coal mining or the aerial ropeway carrying tubs of coal that ran across the road just behind this viewpoint from Dinnington Colliery. It carried coal across the meadows up to Prestwick for onward transport by steam hauled goods train. Only 60 years ago, but a different age.
