Dinnington is close to Newcastle Airport, and an Easyjet flight is on the approach for landing. Containers suggest that some work is due on the housing stock. Sad to see the "No ball games sign", but it is kind of inevitable - kids should be indoors cultivating their first coronary.

This public telephone in the centre of Dinnington appears to have suffered fire damage judging from its black and charred appearance. Presumably this means it is non functioning. A post inside the yellow protective cover suggests the telephone is earmarked for removal.

This building, dating from 1871, which was once a village school is now boarded up. Notices attached to the fence suggest that a planning application was in progress for permission to convert the building into residential accommodation.
