Northern Print, Stepney Bank
Northern Print, the centre for contemporary print making in North-East England, is a gallery and printmaking studio that anyone can register to use. It provides professional facilities and technical support and runs a programme of printmaking classes and courses. The red-brick Byker road bridge with its widened deck is on the left.
Further down Stepney Bank on the right is Stepney Bank Stables. This lane was historically one of the main land access routes into the valley, traditionally used by horse and cart. The stables were established in 1897 for the Global Parcel Express Company. They are now the only urban working stables in Newcastle http://www.twsitelines.info/SMR/1800

Greenhouse, Ouseburn Farm (prev known as Byker farm), Ouseburn
The old Byker city farm closed some time ago and the new building (now known as Ouseburn farm) is a great community facility, very much designed from a sustainability point of view. The greenhouse is made from recycled plastic bottle treaded together within a timber frame.

51 Lime Street, Ouseburn
A public art installation on the building entitled 'Wire Horses' is by Daniel Reed (2002). Apparently emerging from the wall, the horses are depicted using a galvanised steel wire frame. The relevance of the horses is that the building houses a riding arena on the first floor for the Stepney Bank Riding Stables.
From street level, there is large warehouse space to let.
