Industrial Dwellings, Garth Heads
Garth Heads Improved Housing were industrial workers dwellings, built in 1869 for the Newcastle upon Tyne Improved Industrial Dwellings Company Ltd. The building, which was extended in 1878, is probably the earliest example of philanthropic industrial housing in the city. The Keelmens Hospital, City Road, NE1
Built in 1701, for poor keelmen and keelmen's widows. The building is square, consisting of four wings around a central courtyard.
