Originally built as a chapel by the Methodist New Connexion in 1865 after their secession in 1797 from the Wesleyan Methodists http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methodist_New_Connexion
The original building is mostly obscured by more recent additions on Stone Street as Windy Nook Methodist Church.

Entrance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead
This is the main hospital for Gateshead, located in the southern suburb of Sheriff Hill. The original hospital was opened by Queen Elizabeth herself in 1948. It has been much modernised of course in recent years. This is the entrance on the north side, off Queen Elizabeth Avenue.
