Tyne & Wear Metro at Heworth
Heworth station was built as an interchange where passengers could transfer from buses to the Metro system. A number of buses can be seen at the top of the image.

Ramp down to Heworth Station
Heworth is a station for both National Rail and for the Tyne and Wear Metro. This ramp gives access to the westbound platform for National Rail trains. The eastbound platform can also be seen. The two tracks to the left of the ramp are used by Metro trains.
