Shotts Iron Works
Part of the remains of Shotts Iron Works opened in 1802 and demolished in the 1980's. The brick structure was a water tower.

Tower, former Shotts Iron Works
Starting production in 1802, the Shotts Iron Works became world famous for its decorative castings, particularly lamp standards. Production continued for over 150 years.

Animal foodstuff factory
New plant built on part of the site of the former Shotts Iron Company, where blast-furnaces for many years produced pig-iron, and the associated foundry, castings.
