Caldercruix Station
Work to re-instate Caldercruix station for the re-opening of the Airdrie - Bathgate line. The cycle path made a detour around this section.

Railway under construction, Caldercruix
Looking westward, downhill and towards Airdrie; work is in progress on reopening the railway. It looks as if the houses around the station site are now empty and will be demolished.

Caldercruix railway station, Lanarkshire
Opened in 1862 by the Bathgate & Coatbridge Railway, later part of the North British Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1956. It was rebuilt and reopened in 2010 by Network Rail. View east towards Forest Field and Bathgate.

Caldercruix Station
Site of the original station. I do not know where the station will be on the rebuilt line. This is a section of the railway that is not in use as a cycle path.

Caldercruix and Longriggend Parish Church
The road is now cut off, but was originally the B825 as it entered the village. This road now has its junction with the A89 a short distance to the east.
