Banks of the Cadzow Burn, Hamilton
These banks formed the site of the Battle of the Hieton ('High Town') in 1650. The Battle was fought between the Covenanters and the English. The English garrison won the Battle. 'Heads' Memorial, Hamilton Old Parish Church.
