"Hamilton". The County Buildings in Almada Street form a Capital 'H' backdrop to the artwork at the roundabout adjoining the Morrison's store entrance.

Wrought Iron railings, Bothwell Road, Hamilton
The railings were originally part of Hamilton Palace which was demolished in 1921. The building behind the railings was erected in 1964 and was originally Hamilton Teacher Training College. It is now Hamilton College, an independent school that opened in 1983.

With the landmark council building. Erected in the 1960s this was the HQ of Lanarkshire county council up until local government reorganisation in 1975. It is now occupied by South Lanarkshire council.
