Cemetery Gates
This is one of the two original west gateways into the cemetery, now no longer in use, and the view through it completely ruined by a skip full of rubbish just inside, which I could avoid photographing only from this oblique angle. The reliefs on the gateposts are torches with their tops pointing down.

Old Parish Kirk
These are the ruins of the old parish kirk of Cambusnethan, which was built in the 1650s and abandoned in favour of a new kirk just to the west. Unusually for the 17th century, the builders' names are known: John Miller and Alexander King. The birdcage bellcote may have been added in about 1750.

Kirk Doorway
This is the main doorway, inserted in the 19th century in the south wall of the old kirk. Unfortunately the surrounding fence makes it impossible to photograph it from outside the fence. I was very happy to find that some vandal had flattened part of the fence further along, so that I was able to walk in and photograph it from just inside the fence.
