New Stevenston war memorial
Situated at the junction of Park Street and Coronation Road it was erected in the early 1920s and was paid for by public subscription. The low winter sun made it hard to omit the photographers shadow so it was included as part of the photo.

Holytown railway station, Lanarkshire
Opened in 1880 by the Caledonian Railway on the line from Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts, this station was briefly called Carfin and Carfin Junction in the first couple of years after opening.
