Car park alongside High Street, Biggar
Biggar's High Street is wide enough to accommodate a strip of car park. Past the church steeple is the snow-dusted summit of Tinto (711m).

Clowning About On Biggar Gala Day
There were lots of mums and kids dressed as clowns in the Gala Day parade on 14 June 2014. This outfit won first prize in its category.

Incredible Biggar Gala
The Incredible Hulk gave me a roar as he passed by in the fancy dress parade on Biggar Gala Day. As the traffic had to stop for the procession to pass, I thought it was too good an opportunity for a Geographer to miss.

The Tartan Army On Tour At Biggar
The fancy dress parade on Biggar Gala Day coincided with the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Sadly, this was as far as Scotland reached in the qualifying rounds but the Tartan Army always enjoys itself anyway.
