Empty suds pond or whatever they call these things. Obviously dug in connection with nearby modern housing but not yet in use. Surprisingly deep.

Ravenscraig site

Ravenscraig tunnel
Where the South Calder Water flows through. Back in 1962 when the works were built the plans didn't include a river in the middle of it. Hence the tunnel.

Link Road through the area of the former Ravenscraig Steel Works
After the demolition of the Ravenscraig Steel Works, a new road was built between Cleekhimin and Craigneuk. This is the section between the first and second roundabouts on this link road when travelling from the north. However, this will not always look like a country road. Over the next 20 years, there are plans to build here Scotland’s first new town in more than 50 years.
