Former tollhouse
Surveyed by the Milestone Society. This former tollhouse is on the minor road towards New Lanark just south of the junction with the A73. What would have been the front door on the polygonal bay is blocked up.

William Wallace statue, St Nicholas Church, Lanark.
Lanark is where William Wallace is reputed to have raised his troops while staying here. Wallace probably knew this church although it was a lot smaller in his day.
