Roman Road
Although unseen by the naked eye, a Roman Road ran directly across the modern road carriageway at right-angles, (clearly the Romans had different priorities). The depressed ridge is just discernible.

Approaching Lanark
View south across the countryside from a Glasgow Central to Lanark train. The train has just left the Glasgow-Carlisle main line and is on the branch line that terminates at Lanark. The hill in the distance is possibly Tinto.
