Train, Lanark station (1985)
A three-car emu (303.058), carrying the “TransClyde” branding, had just arrived at Lanark with the 12.21 from Partick and would return as the 13.24. The driver is in the process of changing cabs. See also Image (September 1979) and Image (August 2009).

Lanark Station, 1965
Local services were still steam hauled, here with former LMS 'Black Five' loco 45478. This was always a fairly basic station, the main difference today https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3945358 being the removal of the central track and the addition of overhead wires.
