Circular Building west of Lesmahagow
This building is an old reservoir tank of Lanark County Council Water Works and it appears that it is being kept in good condition. Another example of this can be seen in Image Many thanks for this information provided by e-mail.

Lesmahagow Priory & Parish Church
The Tironensian Priory of which only the foundations remain was founded by David I and John, Bishop of Glasgow in 1144. The church dates from 1810, the tower having been completed several years earlier in 1803.

Lesmahagow Priory and Lesmahagow Old Parish Church
Lesmahagow Old Parish Church The present church was constructed in 1804 and contains some notable stained glass. Lesmahagow Old Parish Church is linked with neighbouring Coalburn Parish Church Lesmahagow Priory Lesmahagow Priory was built by the Tyronenses Monks of Kelso Abbey during the 12th century on the site of an earlier Benedictine church. In 1987 an archaeological excavation was undertaken by the Glasgow Archaeological Society. The 'dig' uncovered the foundations of part of the East and West ranges. The South range excavations revealed the remains of the Refectory and the Cloister Garth. The area beyond the East range is considered to be the site of Chapter House, or Abbot's accommodation, as yet unexcavated.
