Strathaven Balloon Festival 2019
This is the Sunday evening flight, around 7pm when winds are light - although it had been such a warm day that launch was delayed until cooler air prevailed. The UK's furthest north balloon festival, this event has grown and grown, so much so that over 20,000 people descend on this small town (population 9000) for a weekend of hot-air balloons and the funfair.
