Local shop for local people
The Sainsbury's local which opened before Christmas 2011 in the premises formerly occupied by Netto. Unfortunately the clock has stopped working.

The cottages have a date of 1897 above the door. They were built to commemorate the 60th jubilee of Queen Victoria's time on the throne.

Loughton crossroads
Also showing the four Memorial Cottages were erected (1897) by subscription to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of her late majesty Queen Victoria. They were let at a nominal rate to poor parishioners and originally cost £400 to build.
