Between St Paul's Square (behind me) and Silver Street (beyond Debenhams).
I remember the Debenhams building was occupied by a department store called E.P.Rose in the 1950's and 60's.

Luddington's Passage, Bedford
This leads from the High Street to Ram Yard. It takes its name from Luddington's tobacconists shop which was beside it in the High Street.
I think that the Luddington family used to live near us in Kimbolton Road in the 1960's.

Ornate clock on Bedford High Street
The building at 49 High Street was originally the home of John Bull & Co jewellers. They moved to St Peter's Street in 1964. See the company's website which mentions their clock. http://www.johnbulljewellers.co.uk/about.html
