From the top of the Allhallows car park, we can see the tops of buildings on each side of Allhallows. The gap between the buildings, just beyond the trees is Church Square. The highest part at the top let is Debenhams. Behind the spire of St Paul's Church is Park Inn hotel (originally built in the 1960's as he County Hotel). Midland Road, Bedford
Looking towards the junction with Harpur Street and Silver Street. Marks and Spencer's has been on the corner of Midland Road and Harpur Street since at least the early 1960s when I was a child in Bedford. Clintons occupies the shop that used to be Boots, and the other corner used to be Braggins, which sold clothes, including school uniforms.
