Bletchley Park Site - Unrenovated Blocks
The Bletchley Park site is a vast sprawling collection of buildings that played host to an essential part in the winning of World War II. The site is being converted bit by bit into a fascinating museum of the period. This particular block is yet to be developed. Derelict Block D, Bletchley Park
The military buildings put up in Bletchley Park covered a wide area and not all of them have been restored as part of the code breaking and computing museum on the better known part of the site. This is the end of Block D, one of the so-called Spider Blocks on account of their shape, with side offices leading off a central corridor. Recognised as a significant building it achieved Listed status in 2005, Image but unfortunately is still derelict. The small notice on the wall warns that the building contains asbestos, which doesn't help matters.
