Grand Union Canal: Bridge Number 96A
Bridge Number 96A is an offline lift bridge on the towpath that when raised enables boats access to and from the small marina beyond. The basin is called Grenville Marina and the moorings are managed by the Canal and River Trust. Old Ordnance Survey maps show that there has been a basin here since at least Victorian times, serving Saracen's Wharf next to the old Saracen's Head public house. The current basin is not quite on the same alignment as, and considerably wider than, the original.

Fenny Stratford: St Martin's Church
The building of the church was funded by Browne Willis (1682-1760), the local Lord of the Manor, an antiquary, lawyer and MP, as a memorial to his famous physician grandfather, Thomas Willis. The church was built on the site of an earlier chapel and the foundation stone was laid on St Martin's Day (11 November) 1724, with completion achieved in 1730. The church was substantially rebuilt and enlarged, on the right here, in Victorian and Edwardian times. The original church on the left, with its embattled parapet, is remarkable for the Gothic windows, the 1720s being a very early date for such ecclesiastical architecture. The Church's website is here http://saintmartinchurch.com/
