This is a subsidiary channel of the River Great Ouse, which flows through the park. However this channel appears to be, at least in part, in an artificial channel, presumably to give it a more attractive appearance.

A side stream of the River Great Ouse. It is not a remnant of the Buckingham branch of the Grand Union Canal (as I hoped), that was just to the left. It is dry here and largely obliterated.
