St. Cecilia's, Adstock
This lovely little church is in the attractive village of Adstock, which benefits from being half a mile from the main A413. The oldest part of the church is the nave which dates back to the C12th, while the chancel (nearest part of building) dates from c.1330, though the church was much restored in 1875. The C14th windows in the chancel are of the Decorated Gothic period, though the tracery is comparatively simple for that period. For more information see http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=62553&strquery=Adstock#s3 The church is EH Grade I listed http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1288520&searchtype=mapsearch

A view of St.Cecilia's in Adstock taken from the church gate looking at the chancel (eastern) end of the church. The origins of this church date back to the C12th, and the stonework up to the sills of the windows of the nave dates from this time while the upper parts are from a C15th rebuilding. For much more information see http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=62553&strquery=Adstock#s3
