Cast iron post by the A5130, in parish of WOBURN SANDS (MILTON KEYNES District), Station Road; 100m South East of level crossing at Woburn Sands Railway Station, against railings of new apartment blocks, Firemans Run, on South-West side of road. Grundy iron casting erected by the Hockliffe & Woburn turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : NEWPORT / 6 : : LONDON / 44 : : WOBURN / 2½ : Maker:- : GRUNDY & Co / NORTHAMPTON / FOUNDRY : Milestone Society National ID: BU_NPWO06.

The Station Hotel, Woburn Sands
Understandably right next to the station, on the A4012 - called (you've guessed it) Station Road! I expect that the builder realised that the line was never going to be anything more than a branch, so the premises were kept to a modest scale.
