Old Milepost by High Street, Newport Pagnell
Pressed steel post by the UC road, in parish of Newport Pagnell (Milton Keynes District), High Street; at junction with Station Road, outside the Police Museum, in the tarmac pavement, bolted to the boundary wall of the museum, on North side of road. Bucks pressing, erected by the County Council in the 20th century.
Inscription reads:-

Newport Pagnell Town Clock
The clock on High Street commemorates the bicentenary (1810-2010) of the rebuilding of the town's bridges. The centre pillar and railings reflects the design of Tickford Iron Bridge.

The Dolphin, Newport Pagnell
According to the town's historical society the Dolphin is of 16th century origin, although the pub's own website only claims 17th century. Either way, it has been a feature of the High Street for a very long time. The splendid Queen Anne period house next door is called Brewery House and was at one time occupied by the owners of a brewery that stood where the medical centre now is.
