Former Rose and Crown Inn
Prince Edward V aged 12 who, accompanied by Sir Richard Grey, stopped here en route from Ludlow to Edward's proposed Coronation in London in June 1483. Icon of St Giles
The icon, installed in the church of St Mary & St Giles in July 2009, was painted by Brother Leon of the Orthodox community in Walsingham and shows Giles, the hermit of Provence, shielding his companion hind from the onslaughts of royal archers.
