Will Adams Memorial and Clocktower, Gillingham
On Sovereign Boulevard, the A2. Will Adams is probably Gillingham's most famous son (his life story formed the basis for the TV series from the novel "Shogun" starring Richard Chamberlain).

Old Milestone by the A2, Watling Street, Gillingham
Carved stone post with only 2 plates, by the A2, in parish of GILLINGHAM (MEDWAY District), 30 yds East of Will Adams Memorial, by the road, on North side of road. Dover Road facet, erected by the Chatham & Canterbury turnpike trust in the 19th century.
