Timber-framed cottages, west-facing. According to the Listing text http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101348476-148-152-mill-street-east-malling-and-larkfield#.Wc7OLCghzo4 the end-to-end jettying-out of the upper storey does not represent the original state of the building. It was once of true 'Wealden hall' type - the centre recessed externally, accommodating a hall open within from ground level to rafters.
