Entrance to Kiln Wood, near Lenham
The entrance is in Headcorn Road, south of the village of Lenham. Kiln Wood is a 6-hectare (15-acre) nature reserve managed by Kent Wildlife Trust. The wood is mainly oak, hornbeam and hazel.

Lenham Heath Road, Sandway
Sandway is a small hamlet, about half a mile from Lenham. Its main feature is a tunnel taking HS1 under Headcorn Road. This is Lenham Heath Road which in this direction leads, unsurprisingly, to Lenham Heath.
