From a public footpath. The most recent planning application, relative to the site, on Maidstone Borough Council’s website, reference MA/02/2056, was for the “variation of condition 04 of planning application reference MA/96/1132 (being for use of land for the siting of 180 holiday caravans and 18 residential caravans including extension to site) to enable static holiday caravans to be sited on an area of the southern part of the site* restricted to touring caravans, as shown of drawing no 1698/5 and site location plan received 15.11.02 and as amended by additional documents being 1698/02/A and 1698/02/A and 1698/02/3 received 21.03.03 and drawing no 1698/02/1/A received on 28.03.03”. *I assume this is the cleared area of ground seen in the view.

A scene of dereliction
On the right, nearest the camera, is a very rusty, partly overgrown, tyreless tractor while across the meadow the large caravan has vegetation partly cladding it. The huts don't look particularly habitable either!
