Forgotten Footpath
Clearly, at some stage in the past, someone cared about this footpath, but the steps leading down from the A249 have hardly been used in years, perhaps because of the hazardous crossing of the road and its Armco barriers. On the other side of the road, the steps have almost disappeared and the stile has rotted. Yet the footpath across the adjacent field to the west runs in a trough apparently created by the passage of feet over many years in times gone by.
