This crossroads is near Conduit Wood. A path from Shottenden heads over the Mount, and then heads straight on to the woodland carpark. Another path heads right to Conduit Wood from the road.

Traditional coppicing still takes place in Perry Wood, which is located between Shottenden and Selling. This path leads from the viewpoint known as The Pulpit on The Mount, through Conduit Wood into Perry Wood and on towards the main car park.
