Pair of pet pigs at the pub
These pigs live at Sondes Arms Pub, by the railway station. There were three but one sickened and died. It was a bit of a bully so I don't suppose the remaining two are grieving.

Selling station
The line from Faversham to Canterbury East was opened on 9th July 1860 by the London, Chatham & Dover Railway, and Selling station followed on 3rd December 1860. The original station was destroyed by fire in the early 1990s, shortly before it was to be made a listed building. The signal box which was here can now be seen at Eythorne station on the East Kent Light Railway. This is the up platform looking in the direction of Faversham and London.

Selling station: up platform
The up (westbound) platform, with help point and shelter. The two people waiting in the shelter had not realised that on this bank holiday there was only a replacement bus service Image, until we told them.

Selling station: site of former buildings
There would presumably once have been station buildings here, but only a vacant plot remains. Station facilities now comprise a phone box, a few notice boards, ticket machine and platform shelter.
