Gravestone outside St Mary of Charity Church, Faversham
This delightful gravestone with the primitive faces is right outside the south porch of St Mary of Charity Church. It says "HERE LYETH YE BODYES OF THOMAS AND SUSANNA GODFREY. THOMAS WAS BORN JULY 15 1662 AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE .." Beyond that it is illegible but it is clearly 17th century and must be one of the oldest gravestones in the churchyard, hence its position.
