A view from the bridge
This is a view recently exposed by the removal of some of the solid panels on the long footbridge and their replacement by mesh panels. The railway yard is in the foreground with a new industrial and housing development behind. The entrance to this is in Whitstable Road. The removal of these panels makes the bridge less daunting to walk along and limits the activities of graffiti "artists".

Faversham Rugby Club premises
This is a 19th century building, shown in the recreation ground as early as 1868, when it is unlikely to have been what it is now. The woodwork in particular could now do with a little loving care.

The long bridge Faversham
The bridge runs across the railway track near Faversham Station. The footbridge has carried thousands of residents, churchgoers and passengers over the railway between Station Road and the church in St Catherine’s Drive, since the early 20th century. In 2018 it was closed because it was feared that it wasn't strong enough to support the numbers of people that stand on it during the annual hop festival. It was refurbished, strengthened and reopened in May, 2019. The graffiti problem hasn't been solved though and attempts to keep it free of the 'art work' have been abandoned, apparently.
