The restoration of the Thames sailing barge, Cumbria
The Cumbria was built in Greenhithe in 1906. It carried a full cargo of 170 tons. The restoration started in November, 2007 and is expected to take three years. When finished, it will be used for sail training and educational purposes under sail alone, operating as a floating classroom. Website: www.cambriatrust.org.uk
