A new shop opens in Market Place
The bagpipes herald the opening of a bridal shop next to the guildhall. The Happy Piper, as he is known, was, indeed, happy to have his picture taken so permission was granted.

In West Street. The annual festival has run since 1990 and attracts more entertainers, stall holders and visitors each year.

Congregational Church Hall
On Partridge Lane. Has a plaque above the middle window near the steps, which reads '50th Anniversary of the Second World War, Congregational Church Hall, Billet for 'B' Company 1st (BN) 43rd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry 18th Oct 1943 to 14th June 1944, 35 of whom were killed on the battlefields of NW Europe. 'We will remember them' In gratitude from the people of Faversham.'
