Boat for sale at Faversham Creek
I really did not feel like making an offer for this boat in the boatyard at Faversham Creek. I had the feeling it might sink as soon as it reached water.

Bedford Dormobile at Iron Wharf, Faversham Creek
Since getting involved in Geograph I've noticed that there are certain corners of the country where things linger on, long after they've disappeared elsewhere: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2150981 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2193850 Iron Wharf is exactly that kind of place, so perhaps I shouldn't have been surprised when this old Dormobile rolled up - the first I'd seen in donkeys' ages, probably 20 years. The owner, who lives locally, told me she'd kept the original sign-writing as it seemed part of the van's character. It's good to see a 1950's vehicle still in daily use - not kept as a museum-piece.

Evening at Iron Wharf, Faversham Creek
Looking inland from Iron Wharf boatyard towards Standard Quay and the town. The sailing barge nearest the camera is the 'Orinoco'. Further along you can see the distinctive outline of the old warehouse now known as Oyster Bay House.
